One dead after off-duty female cop shoots ex-girlfriend, another woman in NYC home

An off-duty NYPD cop shot her ex-girlfriend and another woman, killing one of them, after catching the duo in bed at a Brooklyn home on Wednesday night, police and sources said.

Yvonne Wu, 31 years old and a five-year veteran of the force, opened fire on the pair at the ex-girlfriend’s house on 19th Avenue near 79th Street in Bensonhurst at about 5 p.m., according to police and law enforcement sources.

The ex-girlfriend, 23, is in stable condition and is being questioned by investigators, according to sources.

A source said the female officer works for the 72nd Precinct.

The other woman, 24, was left in critical condition and later died at a nearby hospital, sources said.

“They dated for two years,” one police source said about the cop and her ex. “Broke up three weeks ago.”

The shooter was not immediately identified. Sources said she works in the 72nd Precinct and lives on Staten Island.
